British High Commissioner to Ghana Jon Benjamin has expressed his delight in Ghana deputy captain Andre Ayew’s move to London side West Ham United.
Jon Benjamin, who has supported West Ham as a boy, believes Ayew’s move is the best in his playing career and is desperate to see the Ghanaian take to the field on Monday August 15th in their premier league game against Chelsea.
Jon Benjamin is however convinced the pair of Andre Ayew and Dimitri Payet at West Ham will be the deadliest pair in England after the 26 year old Ghanaian signed on Monday for a club record fee of £20million.
Ayew played alongside Dimitri Payet while at Olympique Marseille and scored 60 goals in 202 games, many of them assisted by Payet, winning the Coupe de la Ligue and the Trophee des Champions twice apiece during his time in France.
