Jordan Ayew confident career is on upward curve despite Swansea struggle

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew thinks there is much more to come from him despite lack of game time at new club Swansea City.

Ayew has yet to score for the Swans since he joined from Aston Villa in January but the 25-year-old is confident he will eventually make a success of the move.

The 25-year-old believes he is maturing and is more consistent, with his best years ahead of him.

"My problem when I was younger was that I was not consistent but I am better now because I am more mature. I understand things better," he said on the club's website.

Ayew says he jumped at the chance to join the Swans at the start of the year and was well aware of the club after his brother Andre's year there in 2015-16.

He added: "I was about to go back to France but when I heard about Swansea, I knew I wanted to come. I spoke to my brother and he also told me to come here. He said I would be making a good move for my career.

"He has good memories of Swansea and I knew about the club and the city because of him. When Andre was playing here, I was here every week. We had a day off at Villa and after training I would come to spend some time with him."
