Jordan Ayew confident of scoring more goals this season

Ghanaian forward, Jordan Ayew has shared that he will keep scoring for English Premier League side Crystal Palace once he continues working hard while keeping his head in the game.

The Black Stars striker is currently in one of the best forms of his career after scoring 3 goals in the top-flight division this season.

His work rate at the start of a season where he secured a permanent move to the London-based club has been phenomenal and has, in turn, propelled fans to fall in love with him.

In a recent interview with Mirror Sport, Ayew who cost Palace £2.5million in the summer transfer window has revealed that he is booming with confidence at the moment and is optimistic about scoring more if he keeps putting in the extra work.

“Every footballer thrives on confidence and for us strikers we have a duty to put the ball in the back of the net.

“When you don’t do that and don’t play well, of course the fans have the right to demand more from you. Last season was not the best and I want to correct that this season.

“For me, I don’t think I have done something big yet. I just have to keep working and the goals will continue coming”, the forward noted.

He added, “All I want the fans to know is that I might not be like the old fashioned strikers who are big and tall, but I have some qualities that can cause problems to defenders and I am working hard to show my full potential”.

The former Olympic Marseille man is expected to be in the starting line up of Roy Hodgson when Crystal Palace host defending Champions Manchester City at the Selhurst Park on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
