Red-hot Ghanaian international, Jordan Ayew has emphasized that he has no problem when he has to be substituted in matches because he appreciates the fact that Crystal Palace plays as a team.

The striker has been one of the standout players in the English Premier League this season and has netted two goals in his last two appearances for the Eagles.

In the side’s match against Aston Villa over the weekend at Selhurst Park, head coach Roy Hodgson was about to take him off before he went on that fantastic run to score the only goal of the game that handed Palace all three points.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Jordan Ayew revealed that he wasn’t aware he was going to be substituted. Nonetheless, he stressed that he has no problem when he has to make way for other teammates in the course of matches.

“I didn’t see [players ready to come on]. I wasn’t paying attention to that,” said Ayew after the match.

"We are a team as a squad, and obviously the manager has chosen a shape that is a 4-3-3 where there is only one striker.

“If I had to come off, I had to come off. The manager knows what is best for the team. I do not have any problem with that”, the 27-year-old said.
