Ghana striker Jordan Ayew says he is heading in the right direction at English Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The on loan Swansea City player was instrumental for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.

It was the 27-year-old's second game for The Eagles since joining the side in the summer.

“I am pleased because we won; the most important thing is the three points," Ayew told the club's official website.

"I have been working really hard since I joined the club.

"I did have an opportunity which I could have scored but it is only my second game.

'I feel I am going in the right direction, but as I say, it’s about the result and we needed the team performance.”

Ayew, who can play anywhere across the front line, was deployed as the main scoring threat in a front-three formation.

“Today the shape changed with a 4-3-3 formation but I don’t mind because I just want to be on the pitch," the French-born continued.

"If I am given the opportunity I will give 100 per cent for the team.

“I got a few knocks but that’s football. It’s a man’s game and you expect that with what my position demands. I don’t have any problem with that.”
