Ayew got off to a flying start for Swansea but he was curtailed by the strong defends of Southampton in a game which produced lots of goal scoring opportunities.

Southampton created the best chances to win the game with 28 shots on target and came the closest to breaking the deadlock when Manolo Gabbiadini clipped the top of the bar with a smart header.
