Ghana's Jordan Ayew will miss Saturday's English Championship game against Blackburn Rovers with an automatic one match suspension.

Ayew received his fifth yellow card of the season in the Championship before he was substituted and replaced by Gabriel Agbonlahor in the 80th of their game.

The FA law prevents a player who has received five yellow cards to play in his next game for misconduct.

Ayew has seen yellow in games against Luton Town in the League Cup, and Championship encounters against Rotherham United, Bristol City, and Nottingham Forest prior to the Birmingham clash.

Ayew missing the match will pave way for Jack Grealish to come back into the team after serving his three match suspension for a stamp on Wolves' Conor Coady.
