Jordan living Swansea dream in the EPL

Jordan Ayew has revealed how he is living the dream at Swansea City – and insisted Premier League survival would make him the “happiest person in the world”.

Ayew is settling into life as a Swan following his January switch from Aston Villa.

His first-team opportunities have been limited so far, although he did make his first start in a Swans shirt at Bournemouth a fortnight ago.

And Ayew is happy to bide his time as he bids to make the most of his second crack at the Premier League.

The Ghana forward finished his one previous season in the English top flight as Villa’s top scorer, but admits the campaign was hard to enjoy as the Midlands club were relegated.

Now Ayew is hoping to savour some happier times having made the move to Wales.

“I have always watched the Premier League. When I was growing up in Ghana, it was always my dream to play here,” he tells this weekend’s Jack Magazine.

“I got the opportunity with Villa. It didn’t work out really well for the team but I think it was okay for me, although you don’t see that when the team go down. It’s hard to enjoy it.

“But I always tried to do my best, that’s the truth, and I hope people could see that. Maybe that’s why I was given the opportunity to come to Swansea.”

Having started at Bournemouth, Ayew hopes to keep his place for Sunday’s key clash with Middlesbrough at the Liberty.

“I have not played so much yet, but the most important thing is that the team win,” Ayew adds.

“If we win games, we will still be in the Premier League next season.

“And if that happens, I will be the happiest person in the world.”
