Jose Mourinho Mocks Arsene Wenger on Premier League Title Triumphs as Bitter Feud Continues

Published on: 21 November 2016

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinhohas launched a fresh attack on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, claiming he is held to higher standards than his bitter rival.

Mourinho, who last won the Premier League back in 2014/15, claimed he is under more pressure than managers like Wenger, whose last title triumph was back in 2003/04, because of his past success.

The Arsenal manager hasn't won a championship in 14 years. I haven't won a championship in 18 months. He, in 14 years, failed to build a team to be champion," Mourinho toldthe Mirror.

"I've been here for four months. And the demand is only for me and not for others.

It must be because of the career I've made. Because I got to the clubs and always won right away."

Mourinho went on to claim that the Premier League is tougher than ever, but that the media is yet to give him the same backing as Manchester United's owners and fans.

And this is a more difficult reality, because it is an extremely difficult competition, with teams being prepared for a lot longer, with excellent players, with excellent coaches.

Manchester really live in a period that needs stability.

A stability that the club wants to give me, a stability that the club gives me, a stability that the fans give me, but that the press does not accept very well.

Mourinho and Wenger have a fabled rivalry, with United's manager previously claiming Wenger is a 'voyeur' and a'specialist in failure', while Arsenal's boss has stated Mourinho is 'disconnected with reality and disrespectful'.

The two managers met again on Saturday, where Olivier Giroud's late header earned Arsenal a point after Juan Mata's earlier strike.
