Jose the 'Scrooge' to Cancel Christmas by Hauling His Man Utd Players to Training on Special Day

Jose Mourinho will have his Manchester United squad training on Christmas Day to prepare for their Boxing Day bout against Sunderland, followed bya slap-up meal for him and his charges.

The Sunreports that Mourinho will havehis players in on Christmas morningfor training, just 24 hours before their game against Sunderland, but after which he and his coaching staff, along with their families, will be entertained with a dinner at the 5 star hotel Lowry.

Mourinho and his staff will sit down for a four course meal worth £120 with just a few bottles of champagne at the tables. A source at the club has revealed that,All the lads and staff at Carrington expect to be in on Christmas morning."

We'll probably say a few prayers with the club chaplain and then train before shooting off home", before adding that,"The gaffer is a big family man and the word is he and the rest of the coaches will all be getting together at the hotel."

The United boss has been staying at the Lowry hotel in the Manchester City Centre since he was appointed and on numerous occasions has complained about autograph hunters camping out for his signature.

United stars Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are also residents at the hotel.
