Joseph Attamah joins İstanbul Başakşehir teammates for pre-season training after AFCON campaign with Ghana

Ghanaian International, Joseph Attamah Lawerh has joined his İstanbul Başakşehir teammates for pre-season training following his campaign with the Black Stars at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The dependable defender earned a call-up to represent his country at the continental showdown following an impressive display for his side in the Turkish Super Lig last season.

Unfortunately for Ghana though, they disappointingly bowed out of the 2019 AFCON at the round of 16 stage after losing on penalties to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Two weeks later, the player has now reported back to his club as they continue preparations for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.

The 25-year old is now hoping to stay in good condition and build on his form from last season to ensure he stays with İstanbul Başakşehir.

He is motivated to better his statistics from last season where he made 11 appearances for the side.
