The side is expected to host the giants in a match week 10 fixture in search of another important 3 points before turning attention to European competition next week.

Other top players left out of the matchday squad include goalkeeper Danny Vukovic and defender Neto Borges.

It is unclear why Joseph Paintsil has been dropped but he is expected to be back in midweek for European inter-club competition action.
