Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he "didn't feel too brilliant" after seeing his side draw 1-1 with Tottenham on Saturday.

Speaking toSky Sportsafter the game,Klopp stated that he felt his side should have been more clinical in front of goal and that they should have finished off the multitude of chances they created. James Milner gave the Reds a deserved lead at half time from the penalty spot, but Danny Rose equalised with 20 minutes to go.

Klopp said in his post-match interview:"When you take a point at Tottenham for 99 per cent of teams it would be a good thing but today we saw the game different. We should be more clinical.

"Our first real mistake and they score. We played football and defended really good. It doesn't feel too brilliant at the moment."

The Liverpool goal came about after Roberto Firmino was felled by Erik Lamela - albeit accidentally - but Klopp felt the referee should have awarded another spot kick afterJan Vertonghen hauled debutant Joel Matip to the ground. He added:"It's a penalty.I don't know why you stop the game unless it's a penalty.

"I still feel a little disappointed. When we play like this, we could have won the game. One mistake, one goal.We were flexible in offensive defending. Wish we would have won it, but we have to accept the point. We showed we can be really good."

Liverpool also had a goal disallowed shortly before Spurs equalised, but Klopp went on to give credit to Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm - who made a number of good saves on the day:"This feels worse than last time (this fixture last season).

"Simon (Mignolet)saved our life last year, (Michel)Vorm saved their life a few times today. It's not a game you win scoring four or five. It's difficult to create one chance, we had a few."

Stastically Liverpool were better in all three games, won just one. Burnley is the only game where #LFC didn't deserve three points.
