The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has adjourned its ruling on the case involving Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to August 4, 2020.

Palmer, a football administrator and owner of Tema Youth Football Club is at CAS to seek justice after he was disqualified from contesting for the presidential position of the Ghana FA in 2019 during the time of the Normalization Committee.

CAS was originally scheduled to give a ruling on the case on Friday, July 17, 2020, but has in a statement today announced that it has pushed the date to August 4, 2020.

According to the Court of Arbitration for Sports, the adjournment is pursuant to Article R59 of the Code of Sports-related Arbitration.

This is expected to cool down tension in the West African country which has built up this week in anticipation of the likely outcome of the ruling.
