Juventus in talks with Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny over \'special\' pre-contract

Juventus are in talks with Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The Sun says the Pole will sign a pre-contract with Juventus in a stunning move to succeed Gianluigi Buffon.

The Arsenal goalkeeper, 27, has been targeted by the Champions League finalists as their long-term No1 when Italian legend Buffon hangs up his gloves.

Buffon says he will retire after the 2018 World Cup in Russia and Juve want Szczesny as his replacement.

It means he will see out the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and compete with David Ospina for the No2 jersey.

Petr Cech will be Arsene Wenger's first-choice keeper next season and Szczesny will return to compete for a place following his loan with Roma.
