Juventus Star Hails Allegri's Team Talk During Rugged Win

MiralemPjanic was quick to praise Massimiliano Allegri for keeping them calm as Juventus claimed an important2-0 away win over Portuguese giants Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Substitutes Dani Alves and Marko Pjaca helped put Juventus fully in control of their Champions League last 16 tie with Porto.Alex Telles saw red after two yellow cards in quick succession in the first halfthe second for a foul on Stephan Lichtsteiner.


The sending off seemed to spoil Porto's chances as Juventus finally took charge of the tie half way through the second half. The visitors finally wore Porto down, withAllegri's words being very important to the victory.

"We could have done better in the first half but Porto defended well,'' he told UEFA.com, ViaESPNafter the game.


"They are used to playing at this level. We hit twice in quick succession when they got tired, exactly as Allegri told us to do. He kept telling us to stay calm and serene and wait for the right moment because it would certainly arrive.''

"I think our victory was fully deserved,'' he added.


"We played well against serious opponents who only tried to defend when they went down to 10 men. It was not easy to find spaces.''


Juventus take a two away goals advantage back to Turin as they host Porto on the 13th of March.
