Juventus Striker Paulo Dybala Wants to Be Paid 'Like Gonzalo Higuain' in New Contract

Juventus striker Paulo Dybala reportedly wants to be paid 'like Gonzalo Higuain' as the club look to renew his contract.

According toCalciomercato, the Argentinian forward currently earns €3m a year, but wants to be paid more than the €5.5m a year that Juventus are offering.

Higuain arrived at the club for a club record fee in the summer, and is believed to be earning €7.5m a year.

It appears that Dybala isn't happy with playing second fiddle to his compatriot, who has top scored with ten Serie A goals so far this campaign.

Dybala, meanwhile, has only managed three goals in ten league games, and ended the recentSuperCoppa defeat against AC Milan in tears having not been started by coachMassimiliano Allegri.

If contract talks stall, the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid - who have been rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old - could see it as an opportunity to make an approach.

Whether Dybala would consider an exit is unclear, although he seems to feel that his exceptional performances since joining Juve for €32m from Palermoare worthy of an increased salary.

Higuain recently expressed his admiration for Dybala in an interview withPremium Sport, making comparisons to Lionel Messi.

"Dybala and Messi are a lot like each other. Messi is the best and he shows it every day," he said.

"Paulo is still young, he's 23 years old and depends on what's coming in the future, he has all the characteristics to become one of the best players.

"There will be many ups and downs and you will always have to keep a balance and not listen to criticism and praise."
