Ghana's Kamal Sowah scored the winning goal in Standard Liege's 2-1 victory against OH Leuven in the Belgium top flight.

Kamal Sowah started the game at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadion and lasted the full 990 minutes.

The head-to-head record for the teams before the game was OH Leuven five wins, Standard Liege nine wins, and five draws.

With eight minutes left in the game, Sowah, who is currently on loan at Liege, scored to give the visitors a 2-1 victory and all three points.

At the stroke of halftime, Wilfried Kanga gave the Reds the lead with a superb finish, but the home team answered after the break via Hamza Mendy.

The Ghanaian international scored his second goal of the season for Standard Liege after grabbing the game-winning rebound.

On the final day of the transfer window, the former Leicester City player switched from Club Brugge to Standard Liege.

Liege will play Club Brugge in their next league game.
