Ghana has been handed a massive boost after star midfielder Kamaldeen Sulemana returned to action for Stade Rennes after a long injury lay-off.

The 19-year-old has been out of action since mid-February due to a back injury.

He missed the Black Stars crucial World Cup play-off against Nigeria where Ghana edged past the Super Eagles to secure qualification.

But on Saturday, the former FC Nordjaelland star made his first appearance for Rennes junior side since February in their 3-1 win over Dinan-Léhon.

His return comes as a huge boost for the Black Stars ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to Madagascar on June 1 before traveling to Central Africa Republic for their second game in Group E.
