N'golo Kante is set to inherit Baba Rahman's number 6 jersey at Chelsea following the Ghanaian's loan switch to Schalke 04.
Kante was handed the number 7 shirt ahead of the 2015/2016 English after Ramires joined Jiangsu Suning in January.
However, he has asked the club management for a change in jersey number following the exit of Rahman.
The Ghanaian failed to secure a first-team place at Stamford Bridge last season and has been allowed to join the Gelsenkirchen club on loan for the next year freeing up the number 6 jersey.
Other notable number changes include Pedro. The Spain winger has opted to wear No. 11 after initially wearing No. 17 upon joining from Barcelona last season.
Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi has taken the No. 23 and Ola Aina -- fresh from signing a new long-term deal -- will wear number 34.
