Ghana Premier League side Karela United have joined the race to sign Ibrahim Danlad from Asante Kotoko in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.

Danlad, who turned 17 years recently is expected to leave the Porcupine Warriors on a season long loan deal ahead of the start of new season on December 28.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Berekum Chelsea were in advanced negotiations with Asante Kotoko over the transfer of highly-rated goalkeeper.

According to reports, Karela United have also expressed interest in signing the former Black Starlets goalie to boost their squad for the upcoming season.

Karela United duo Kofi Mensah and Isaac Hagan have left the club following the expiration of their contracts.

Danlad is leaving Kotoko on loan due to lack of regular playing time with the presence of Felix Annan, Osei Kwame and Kwame Baah.

He was a member of the Ghana U-23 squad that finished fourth at the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
