After losing his place in the Asante Kotoko team to teammate goalkeeper Kwame Baah in the 2019/20 league season.

He has since been expressing his displeasure about what led to Kwame Baah taking his spot in the team and urged Maxwell Konadu to explain this development.

Annan 25, sought permission to absent himself from the team to prepare for his wedding after Match Week 3.

Upon his return, he was placed on the bench as Kwame Baah was selected by coach Maxwell Konadu.

Baah however, kept the post in ten league games and helped the Porcupines to 5 wins, 1 defeat and 4 draws before the cancelation of the Ghana Premier League due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking to local radio station Pure Fm former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Anthony Osei said

“I will tell Felix Annan to avoid interviews over the luck of playing time at Asante Kotoko. He should keep the focus on his training, definitely, his time will come,"

"A player doesn’t need to have an issue with his coach,” he added.
