Ghanaian youngster Kelvin Boateng netted a brace on Monday afternoon during FC Porto B’s pulsating 2-2 draw against Oliveirense in the Portuguese Segunda Liga.
The highly-rated striker was called into action in a Matchday 2 fixture of the 2020/2021 football season when his team visited the Estádio Carlos Osório to take on the Matchday opponent.
Following a good start to the game, UD Oliveirense took the lead through an own goal scored by Francesco Fernandes after 39 minutes of play.
With that goal separating the two sides at halftime, Porto B returned for the second half with more intent.
After 10 minutes, the team managed to restore parity through a fine strike from Ghana’s Kelvin Boateng.
Unfortunately, the visitors could not hold on to the momentum and allowed the hosts to restore their lead seven minutes later courtesy an equalizer from Michel Barbosa de Lima.
The pulsating encounter that ensued from there finished with Kelvin Boateng netting again to complete his brace to save the FC Porto B team from suffering defeat at hands of Oliveirense.
