Ghanaian international, Kelvin Ofori has revealed that he chose to sign for German Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf ahead of other interested clubs because he believes they will give him the platform to develop.
The youngster was at the center of wild speculations before finally penning his signature for the German side.
Prior to the completion of the deal, he was linked with a move to English Premier League giants Manchester United and a host of other European clubs.
He, however, snubbed the opportunity to play with any of the top clubs and signed for Fortuna Düsseldorf in a three-year deal from Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy.
Speaking in an interview, Kelvin Ofori has shared, “As a young player, I want to learn a lot and develop myself step by step, but I cannot wait to play in this great stadium and in front of the enthusiastic fans”.
Just 18 years of age, Ofori is the third Ghanaian in this window to join the Bundesliga side after Bernard Tekpetey and Nana Opoku Ampomah.
