The Japanese trainer has steered the Phobians to their best ever start to the Premier League since 2009. Hearts of Oak have recorded four wins and two draws in their six away matches handing them an unbeaten away run in the season.

The Phobians are currently on top of the Ghana Premier League table after eleven matches with 21 points.

Kenichi succeeded in breaking Berekum Chelsea’s 4 year unbeaten home record with a solitary win at the Golden City Park at the weekend and quickly took to Facebook to praise his team and urge them to quickly look ahead to their next league match.

The win comes six days after Hearts's demoralizing defeat at the hands of Kotoko and Kenichi was full of praise for his players’ attitude. "The most difficult part of this match was because we had our biggest game in the league last weekend so how we can refocus and play our best was the most difficult." Kenichi told reporters after the game. "It was also difficult because our opponents played very well so it was not easy at all for us to score goals." "Losing the game last week is only in the past as well as this game is past as well." "We can enjoy a little bit of this win but I don’t think it has any effect at all for us. We just have to refocus."

Hearts now lead the league as a result of Wa All Stars defeat at the hands of Techiman City.
