U.S Sassuolo Calcio forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has resumed training with the club after he was cleared by the medical team.

Boateng was substituted on the 60th-minute after suffering a muscular problem during their 2-1 defeat to Parma last Sunday.

The former Dortmund player returned to training on Tuesday at the Ricci Stadium but was directed by the medical team to do a light work.

He is expected to join up with the squad for their double training on Wednesday as Roberto De Zerbi's side continues their preparations ahead of Sunday's game against resurgent Udinese at the Mapei Stadium.

The 31-year-old has made 11 appearances and bagged four goals for his side in the 2018-19 Italian Serie A season.

The Ghana international completed his transfer to the Serie A outfit Sassuolo, making a return to Italy after leaving AC Milan in 2016.

The 31-year-old joined the Black and Greens from German club Eintracht Frankfurt, who acquired his services last summer.
