Celtic are not planning on selling their star striker Moussa Dembeleany time soon although they expect a host of Europe's top clubs to come calling.

That'saccording to key club figureDermot Desmond, quoted in theDaily Mailthis week.20-year-old striker Dembelehas had an amazing start to life in Parkhead after moving to Scotland from Fulham for just £500,000.

The Frenchman's form has been impressive this season, scoring 12 goals in 17 games, including a hat-trick against Rangers and a brace against Manchester City in the Champions League.

His performances have led to speculation that the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Arsenal will up their interest in the player.

However, theclub's major shareholder Desmond remained optimistic when asked about his chances of keeping the former Fulham striker at Celtic next season.

I think so. Hopefully we can. he said.

They're a team, they're together, we don't need to sell any players.

Hopefully we can retain him but again our job is to have players that are wanted by other clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere.

That will be an indication of the quality of footballers that we have.

The youngster recently scored on his debut for the French U21's after coming off the bench in their 5-1 win against Georgia.

Despite turning from Old firm hat-trick hero to penalty villain after missing a spot kick against Barcelona in their 7-0 Champions League defeat, he has been shortlisted for the prestigious Golden Boy award.

Past winners include Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba. He goes up against 39 others including Marcus Rashford, Kingsley Coman and Renato Sanches.
