The 18-year-old is one of four players promoted by Kim Grant from the club’s developmental team Auroras and he has hit the ground running so far despite the lack of football activities in the country.

Umar bagged a brace in the friendly game against Liberty  Professionals on Wednesday at the Pobiman Sports Complex and has been commended by the 46-year-old gaffer.

“Manaf is a fantastic talent but it doesn’t stop there, I am really pleased with him but this is just friendly games. We need to see it in the main games.” Grant told footballmadeinghana.com

“He plays to instructions and I am pleased for his goals against Liberty, is a reward for his hard work. He is taking on board everything I taught him.”

The highly-rated youngster is expected to start on Sunday when Hearts of Oak host Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium in the special S.T Nettey Memorial Cup.
