King Faisal Football Club is coming up against the KNUST School Team this afternoon in a pre-season friendly match as part of the team’s preparation for the 2020/2021 football season.
The Kumasi-based club displayed poor form during last season when they returned to the Ghana Premier League as they struggled to pick up a win.
After going 14 matches without a win, King Faisal finished bottom at the time the campaign was suspended and subsequently canceled by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Keen on rewriting the narrative in the 2020/2021 football season, the club has this weekend intensified their pre-season training at the Paa Joe Park.
Today, head coach Slaviša Božičić will have the chance to assess his team and the progress they have made in pre-season when the team takes on the KNUST School Team in a friendly.
Tomorrow, the team will also come up against Wasaman United in another friendly match to wrap up the week’s work.
With the Ghana Premier League set to start next month, King Faisal FC will visit the Sogakope Park on the opening weekend to take on WAFA.
