Head for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kjetil Zachariassen has named a strong starting eleven to face Nigerian giants Kano Pillars for the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to face their opponent from Kano this afternoon as they begin their campaign in this year’s top-tier inter-club competition on the continent.
Coach Zachariassen has named a strong team in a bid to get a good result that will make his work easier when they host Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the return leg.
New captain Felix Annan will be commanding the backline that includes new signing Empem Dacosta as well as Ayiku Tetteh.
Justice Blay takes charge of a key role in midfield and will be linking up with a front three of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Richard Arthur and Ugandan forward George Abege.
