The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DataBank, Kojo Addae-Mensah has propsed to Nana Yaw Amponsah to try and adopt a Standard Operation Procedures document at the club to guide the appointments of personnel to work for the club.

His advice to the new CEO of the Kumasi-based club is coming on the back of the reported appointment of a seven-member management team to work for the club.

While many continue to raise questions on the expertise of the appointed persons, Kojo Addae-Mensah has indicated that a top club like Kotoko should have a Standard Operation Procedures document.

“Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) is absent in Kotoko and such a document should have been present in the club by now so that irrespective of whoever takes charge of the club will be aware of the laid down criteria for hiring expertise. When such a document is existent, only competent people will be employed”, the Databank CEO explained to Nhyira Sports.

He continued, "I would have wished he puts together such a document for approval before he started work but he has little time. It is difficult to work without a SOP to be honest.

"What I will advise him to do is when he is presenting any person for approval, he (CEO) can only present a detailed background of the person he wants to recruit and the board must understand and assess the individual based on that once there is no SOP. If there is an alternative then their backgrounds are measured”.

Kojo Addae-Mensah further urged Nana Yaw Amponsah to work on adopting a document of that nature during his time at Asante Kotoko.
