Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who also doubles as the Technical Director for Bechem United, Nana Kwasi Darlington has disclosed that his side was tactically superior to Kotoko when they played a 1-1 draw on match Week 10 of the Normalization Committee (NC)Special Competition.

The Porcupine Warriors could not totally recover from an early goal they conceded against a well determined Bechem side who ended up earning a point at the dangerous Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Speaking in an interview with Ashh Fm earlier today, Nana Kwasi Darlington stressed that his side were tactically better than CK Akonnor’s men and that is why they managed to earn a vital point from the match.

“Tactically, Bechem United were ahead of Coach C.K Akonnor and his Kotoko team. We told our players to be tactically discipline and with that, Kotoko can’t win against us (Bechem United) and that was exactly what our players did”, he said.

The outspoken CEO further shared that he was not surprised at the result of the match at the end of the 90 minutes because anytime he is on the technical bench of his team, Kotoko struggles to play against them.

“Some teams in Europe have about 6-8 coaches for every department in their teams so it is no news for me to be on bench. It is always difficult for Kotoko to beat Bechem United when I’m on the bench. I always let my players be on their toes when I’m on the bench, I motivate my players on the field and I think it helps my team a lot in our games”, he said.

After match week 10, Kotoko is 2nd on the Premier A standings whereas Bechem United sits 6th and in danger if bowing out of the Special Competition at the end of this phase.
