Assistant Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Akakpo Patron admits he is satisfied with the teams performance in their defeat to Aduana Stars in the Super Cup on Sunday.

The FA Cup winners were beaten 1-0 by the Premier League Champions, after Bright Adjei scored in the 55th minute to hand victory to Aduana.

Despite the defeat, assistant Kotoko Coach, Akakpo Patron indicated they are satisfied with the performance of the boys and are preparing for the new campaign's challenge.

”The performance was good. Overall we started the game very well. As we planned the boys started very well. First 25 minutes, I think we were on top of our game. Later they also took over about ten minutes but we finished it very well at the last part of it. So I think the second half was a balanced game,” he said in a post match interview.

”For all i will say the performance was okay. It is all about preparation towards the Confederation Cup even though there are some lapses that we’ve seen that we have to work on it for the coming days so we will improve on certain areas of the team,” he added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have drawn Club Athletique De Renaissance Aiglon of DR Congo in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup, scheduled for the weekend of February 9th.

Meanwhile, after placing fifth in the Ghana Premier League last season the Club is poised for a positive campaign in the new season which begins on February 11th.
