Board Member for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu has rubbished reports suggesting that the club is planning to buy the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium.

Earlier this week, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II inaugurated a 9-member board of directors for the Ghanaian giants while mandating them to ensure the club gets its own stadium.

In the last 24 hours, reports of the newly constituted board planning to purchase a stadium spread like a wildfire with a mention of the Anane Boateng Stadium as the likely facility.

Speaking to Oyerepa FM today, Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu who is a member of the Kotoko board has stressed that they have not made any considerations of that sort.

"We don’t know any Abrankese. Otumfuo wants us to get our own. For now, we’ve not even seen our own at Adako Jachie, how then do we rely on someone’s own?” He quizzed.

"The person isn’t going to give it to us for free, why then don’t we get our own", he said.
