Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong close to completing A.S Kaloum Stars move

Long-serving captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong is set to be close to completing a move to Guinea top club A.S Kaloum Stars.

The player who has risen in the ranks over the years for his club and the national team recently is believed to have been omitted from the squad of the Porcupine Warriors submitted to CAF for the upcoming CAF Champions League due to his imminent transfer away from the side.

According to reports, the possible transfer of the player is based on his request in the past month indicating that this might be his last chance to play outside the country looking at his current age.

The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the most dependable players on the local scene in the last three years and has given his all to the Kumasi based club in the process.

A.S Kaloum is reportedly keen on signing the versatile defender and is already in negotiations with the Ghana Premier League giant to poach the player away from the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to Conakry.

Having joined the Reds in 2011, Amos Frimpong has won eleven major titles. Three league titles, two FA Cups, two President Cups, two SWAG Cups, one Super Cup, as well as the tier 1 of the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition.
