King Faisal, who needed a point to escape relegation last season are currently joint-top with Kotoko on the Ghana Premier League table.

However, Faisal have defeated Kotoko twice this season, both in the league and MTN FA Cup.

"I always want to see clubs from Asanteman progressing so I’m elated for King Faisal’s progress this season," Amponsah said.

"Instead of begging for points, they (King Faisal) are now fighting for their points and I’m happy with that. This brings fairness in the game," he added.

King Faisal defeated Bibiani Gold Stars to maintain their unbeaten home record. Ibrahim Osman and Zubairu Ibrahim scored within 38 minutes to give King Faisal a well-deserved lead before the break.

But Godfred Kyei pulled one back for Bibiani Gold Stars in the second half.

King Faisal will take on Eleven Wonders on match week 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
