Interim Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Frimpong Manso says the team has lost its defensive steel after losing 3-1 to Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana @60 match celebrations.
The Porcupine Warriors were noted for their solidity under Croatian tactician Zdravko Lugarisic but the situation has changed dramatically with the team conceding in most of their games after the Croat left.
In an interview with Kumasi Based Radio Station, the veteran gaffer indicated the team looks frail defensively conceding a lot of goals.
“Yes it is true that before I came the biggest strength of Kotoko was not conceding many goals but at time the team was playing with 7 defenders in a game but now things have changed. But conceding two goals in the last ten minutes was not good.” he told Metro FM in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, Frimpong Mnaso has also called on the club to buy strikers to improve their goal scoring rate.
The Club has scored on 9 goals in the Ghana Premier and will next face Accra Great Olympics.
