Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has disclosed that clubs will need six weeks to prepare their players ahead of the league resumption.

All football leagues have been halted since mid-March as part of measures to help curb the spread of the disease.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo recently extended the ban on sporting activities to July 31, however, the FA has set June 30 as the date they decide the future of the league.

"We will need about six weeks to get our players back to where they were before this whole crisis."

"Football will come back one day. Should government or GFA give us go-ahead to resume, we will need six weeks of training," Konadu said on Happy FM.

The GFA proposed weekly testing of all players and also training in smaller groups but did not meet the expectation of the government.

The Premier League was at its match week 15 stage when it was halted with Aduana Stars leading the table with 28 points.
