The defender is set to complete his loan switch to AshGold after failing to grab a starting place at Kotoko in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.

Ainooson, who joined the Reds three seasons ago from New Edubiase United is facing massive competition from Awudu Nafiu and Awal Mohammed who have been regular starters for the Porcupine Warriors since the start of the season.

Reports indicate officials of the two Clubs (AshGold and Kotoko) have agreed on a deal which will see the player cross carpet to the Obuasi-based Club until in the second round of the season.

The 26-year-old will be with the Miners until the end of the season.

AshGold’s approach for the highly-rated defender is aimed at augmenting their squad after a poor run in the first half of the Ghana Premier League.
