Kotoko defender Wahab Adams excited with "breathtaking" win over former side Aduana

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Wahab Adams insists he is delighted with his side 2-0 win over former club Aduana Stars in the GHALCA G8 tournament. 

The defender who joined the Porcupine Warriors from the "Ogya Boys" came on as a substitute in the 52nd minute following the injury to fellow new signing Emmanuel Owusu,to provide steel in defence.

Playing for the first time against his former side, Wahab Adams described the performance as a breathtaking one, and was excited with the victory.

"I felt great yesterday after the 2-0 win. It was my prayer before the match to conquer Aduana Stars and true to my prayers, it came to pass. In fact our performance was  breathtaking,  "Wahab Adams told www.Asantekotokosc.com  in a post match interview.

The Kumasi based side have now progressed to the semifinals of the competition after topping group A, with victories over Eleven Wonders and Aduana Stars.

They will face arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the semifinals in midweek with hopes of making it to the finals.

Wahab Adams has been included in Kotoko's team for the CAF Confederations Cup next season. He won the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League with Aduana Stars before making a move from Dormaa to Kumasi.
