Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman Dr. Kwame Kyei believes they have what it takes to make a huge impact in the CAF Confederation Cup group campaign.

Asante Kotoko have been drawn in Group C of the CAF Confederation Cup competition alongside Zesco United, Nkana FC from Zambia and Sudanese side Al Hilal.

The Porcupine Warriors will begin their campaign against Al Hilal on February 3 before hosting Zesco in Kumasi on February 13.

They will then travel to Zambia to play Nkana on February 24 to complete the first round of the matches.

The next round will see Kotoko host Nkana on March 3 before hosting AL Hilal Kumasi seven days later before playing Zesco United away in their last group match.

Reacting to the draw, Dr. Kwame Kyei called on the fans of the club to unite in order for the club to achieve its goals.

“Yesterday I was shocked at the crowed I saw at the stadium meaning we have something great in our hands.

“So those who at times stir negativities among the club should rally behind the team in unity so that going forward we can achieve more,” he told Fox FM in Kumasi.

“The group handed Kotoko in the Confederations Cup is very good. There is no team we cannot withstand. God has given us the best we will see what to do when the time comes.”
