Kotoko face-off with rivals Hearts in Presidential Ghana@60 match

The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has confirmed the receipt of a letter from the Office of the President inviting the Porcupine Warriors for friendly match against arch rivals Hearts of Oak on May 1, 2017 in Accra.

The letter, signed by the Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Commey said, the match would be home and away, indicating that, it’s part of activities marking Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary.

“We have been directed by the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufu-Addo, to organise a football match between Ghana’s two most glamorous clubs, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak” the letter stated.

“The first leg is scheduled for May 1, 2017 at the Accra Sports Stadium; the date for the return fixture will be communicated to you in due course” it added.
