Kotoko fans refuse to patronize StarTimes after GFA block club from filming matches with Veo

Fans of Asante Kotoko have been charged not to subscribe to StarTimes today to watch the team’s match against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.

Last weekend, officials of the Porcupine Warriors club were stopped from filming the team’s match against Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Although the club explained that it is for analysis purposes, the GFA insisted that it infringes on its contract with StarTimes and hence they cannot be allowed to video their games.

Today, Asante Kotoko is being prevented from taking a video of the encounter with Berekum Chelsea as the GFA prepares to have a conversation with the club on the matter tomorrow.

In a post on the Twitter page of one of the vibrant supporters' groups of the club, fans have been urged not to stream matches on StarTimes this afternoon.

“Asante Kotoko has been prevented from using Veo to film our game against Berekum Chelsea. So no Kotoko supporter should subscribe to StarTimes Ghana today to watch the game,” a post on the Twitter page reads.

The game between Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea is scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
