Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan ready to compete for position in the Black Stars

Kumasi Asante Kotoko first choice goalkeeper Felix Annan says he is ready to compete for the number one position in the Black Stars team.

 

The goalkeeper was called up into the Black Stars by Coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia.

 

Annan faces competition from goalkeepers Adam Kwaraseyof Brondby in Denmark, Richard Ofari of Wa All Stars, Joseph Addo of Aduana and Razak Abalora of WAFA.

 

However, the 23 year says he has been waiting for this op[portunity and will fight to get a position in the team.

 

"I am ready with the competition and it is my first time to play for the Black Stars," he told reporters

"It's a dream come through and I have to encourage myself to excel in the team.

"Despite the competition, I’m working very hard to stay in the squad."

 

Coach Kwesi Appiah called up 30 players and will prune it down to twenty for the AFCON qualifier.
