Kotoko intensifies training ahead of Dreams duel

Kotoko have intensified their training session ahead of Sunday’s match day 23 Premier League fixture at home to Dreams FC. The Porcupines recorded an impressive 1-0 win over Dreams FC at Dawu and would be looking forward to another triumph. Their session last Friday, which was the only one on the day, focused on the players who have not had much playing time over recently but could feature in Sunday’s game. That set of players, consisted of goalkeepers Felix Annan and Ofori Antwi; Ohene Brenya, Eric Donkor, Evans Quao, Edwin Tuffour, Emmanuel Asante, Michael Yeboah, Akwasi Nti, Seidu Bancey, Emmanuel Osei and Stephen Oduro. They were put in a practice match against the club’s youth team headed by Coach Ernest Appau on the main training pitch. The other set comprising skipper, Amos Frimpong, Ahmed Adams, Samuel Kyere, Richard Osei Agyeman, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, Obed Owusu, Bennett Ofori and Kwame Boateng also underwent various physical exercises with supervision from Physical Trainer, A. S. K. Doe. Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and midfielders Theophilus Nyame and Halipha Sedogo missed the day’s session due to injuries. In trial match later on, Emmanuel Osei scored twice – one from the spot. Although Agyenim Boateng pulled one back for the junior team, Emmanuel Osei extended the lead as the seniors stamped their authority on their junior teammates who never seize to give their senior colleagues a stiff opposition whenever they meet. It was a valuable morning work as that trial game was entertaining. It is expected that, this week’s training sessions will add to all that was done on Friday as the Porcupines look for their second win against the debutants Dreams FC.
