Kotoko jets off to Cote d'Ivoire for FC San Pedro second leg match

Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko has jetted off to Cote d’Ivoire ahead of their clash with FC San Pedro for the second legx of the final playoff round to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Nicknamed the Porcupine Warriors, the Reds are hoping to get a good result this weekend to keep their continental aspirations alive after crashing out of the CAF Champions League.

Last weekend, they managed to defeat their Ivorian opponent by a goal to nil and hold a slight advantage going into the return leg.

Following four days of intensive training in Kumasi, Kotoko has departed the shores of Ghana today to ensure they spent 2 days in Abidjan before they go into the crucial game.

Head coach Kjetil Zachariassen and his technical team traveled with 21-players who they are confident can get the job done at the end of the day.

Kotoko will have two training sessions tomorrow before the match is played on Sunday.

Kick-off for the game is at 16:00GMT.
