Kotoko legend Stephen Oduro to leave club after 17 seasons

Legendary Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Stephen Oduro is set to leave the club after 16 years of dedicated service.

The 33-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by the technical team of the Porcupine Warriors but will be offered a nanagement role at the club if he retires.

His exit is part of a clear-out at the club and happens after he was limited to a handful of appearances over what was a disappointing season for Kotoko.

The former Real Tamale United starlet is currently the longest serving player of the club and the club are hoping to reach a mutual agreement with him in order to avoid an acrimonious exit.

The former Black Satellites wonderkid, Oduro, joined the Porcupine Warriors lads from Real Tamale United in 1999.
