Kotoko management set to name Michael Osei as substantive coach this week

Interim Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei is set to be named substantive coach of the team following his impressive record since taking over from coach David Duncan.

Osei who has been in an acting role since the departure of David Duncan managed to move the Porcupine warriors from the relegation zone to the top 4 before the end of first half of the season.

Aside that, he guided Kotoko to defeat Hearts 3-2 on penalties to win this year’s President Cup which was played at the Accra Stadium on Friday.

This for many is enough justification for the former Kotoko player to be named the substantive manager.

The Board of Directors is reported to have taken a decision and will by close of this week name the former New Edubiase assistant coach as the head trainer of the club.
