New signing of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Abege has disclosed that he is yet to settle into the club despite already featuring in two international friendly matches.

The experienced Ugandan forward moved to the Porcupine Warriors from Kariobangi sharks in the current transfer window but is yet to score for his new club.

He was given minutes in all two of Kotoko’s pre-season friendly matches Rahimo FC and Societe Omnisports De L’ Armee but could not find the back of the net.

Speaking in an interview after the Kumasi based side drew goalless with the Ivorian champions, George Abege revealed shared that he is facing some challenged but he is a professional and will soon start banging in the goals.

“When you move from one place for another, you will face challenges and I think this is one of them. I think as a professional player I have to face them”, the striker said.

He added, “I know I don’t need a lot of time to do that, I’m hoping possibly within the remaining few days before we go to Nigeria I would be able to play the way the coach is planning.

“I can’t be playing the same way I was playing in my previous team. Because we have a new teammates and new philosophy the coach is trying to implement. So it’s all about adjustment in my playing style”.

Kotoko is expected to travel to Nigeria in 9 days time to Nigeria where they will play Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
