Asante Kotoko are close to offloading defender Abeiku Ainooson on a temporary move to fellow premier league side Dreams FC.

The center-back recently returned from Sudan after having his season-long deal with Al Hilal terminated.

Coach of Kotoko, Michael Osei, prior to Kotoko’s FA Cup game with Storm Academy held a “clear the air” talks with the former league best defender over his plans for the remainder of the season.

According to sources, Ainooson was told by the club that he stands to benefit more from a loan spell outside the club as options in the current Kotoko back line are well catered for.

The Kotoko management has since the talks with the defender engaged its counterpart from Dreams FC over a possible loan agreement for the remainder of the ongoing season.

The deal with the Dawu-based club is set to be an ideal destination for Abeiku Ainooson due to his professional relationship with the club’s hierarchy.
